Aber is the term used in Celtic countries to describe a ria, which is part of a river which, following a landslide or rise in the sea level, is subject to the tidal regime twice a day.

PAYS DES ABERS - COAST OF LEGENDS (Brittany-Finistère) boasts two abers : Aber Benoît and Aber Wrac'h.
