Located at Pointe de Beg-Pol in Brignogan...

Pontusval lighthouse is situated on Pointe de Beg-Pol in the pretty coastal town of Brignogan-Plages.

The lighthouse was built following numerous shipwrecks on the coast and the building work was completed in 1869.  It was first lit on 15 September 1869.

The lighthouse is located between the lighthouse at Ile Vierge and the lighthosue at lle de Batz.

It stands 18 metres tall and to reach the top you will have to climb 52 steps.
